Coweta High School senior Brady Robl is everything you want in a student-athlete. He plays hard on the court while showing good sportsmanship and he works just as hard or harder in the classroom.
Robl has played the game of basketball since the second grade. Most of his life he has had a basketball in his hands. Playing for the varsity team at Coweta, Robl said he loves his teammates and the way they come together when things are not going their way.
“What I love most about my team and teammates is the great bond we have and we’re like brothers on and off the court,” said Robl.
The small/power forward is not afraid to attack the rim or play tough defense. He takes that same mentality to the classroom, never backing away from a challenge.
“Academics are very important to me. I plan to go to college and I’m trying to get some scholarship money for that,” said Robl. “Right now, my plan is to go to Tulsa Community College for the basics and then to a larger university to complete my bachelor’s degree.”
Robl is a member of National Honor Society and said he enjoys spending time with his friends and family when he’s not on the court. For he and his friends, video games are a big part of their activities outside of school.
One person who knows him well is his father. Robl said his dad has played a major role in his success and has been the positive influence in his life for as long as he can remember.
For Robl, the best part about being a student-athlete is having a chance to experience as much as he can while still in school.“For me, the whole experience of playing basketball for Coweta High School is a great time,” said Robl.
