Coweta High School senior Cadence Denton is ready for his final year of high school sports. Cadence plays football as a safety and wide receiver as well as running three relays and the 200-meter open for the track team.
Starting football when he was in the second grade, sports has become a way of life for this senior athlete.
“Sports to me is a get away from life, and a lifestyle as a whole,” Cadence said.
This being his last year of high school makes Cadence even more motivated to be the best version of himself and putting the most important things at the top of his to-do list.
“I balance school and life by putting grades first and always making time to do schoolwork,” Cadence said. “Life is always fun, but you cannot have fun until work is done.”
When Cadence gets overwhelmed with his busy schedule or life he knows just where he can turn.
“I stay motivated when times get tough by praying to God about my troubles and talking to trusted adults and friends,” said Cadence.
Being an athlete as well as a senior Cadence has many eyes watching and looking up to him.
“When I am told people look up to me it is a heartwarming feeling because it means I am doing something right and it pushes me to keep working and work harder,” said Cadence.
In his free time, you can catch the senior spending time with his friends soaking up their last moments as high school friends as well as spending time in the great outdoors hunting and fishing.
After high school Cadence has plans on furthering his education by attending college and earning a degree in the medical field to become an orthopedic specialist with dreams of one day being an orthopedic surgeon.
