Coweta Tigers wrestler Caleb Phillips is a two-time Class 5A state runner-up and is looking to add state champion to his resume this season. We caught up with Phillips to learn more about him and his team.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Phillips: The thing I love most about my team and teammates is that every single one of them works extremely hard each and every day and I love how they never argue or fight with each other and the brotherhood that we’ve all created with each other over the past three years together is something special.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school, and do you have a favorite teacher?
Phillips: My favorite subject in school would definitely be history and my favorite teacher would definitely be Mrs. Cochran. She was an amazing person who taught me so many great things in the classroom but more importantly she taught me how to be an amazing human being.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the mat?
Phillips: Someone who’s been a big influence in my life has been both of my parents. They have shown me how to work hard in everything that we do, and they have supported everything I’ve ever done my entire life.
