Coweta’s Emersyn Eischen

Coweta High School senior Emersyn Eischen has been playing basketball since she was just four years old, following in her brother’s footsteps.

At small forward and shooting guard for the Tigers, Eischen says that her favorite memory competing is winning the Area Championship game with her team junior year. Above all, her favorite aspect of the sport is being part of a team.

“The best part about playing sports in high school is the friendships you make and how those friends help shape you into a better person on and off the court,” she said. “My teammates mean the world to me! I am grateful I get to call my teammates family. They push me to be the best version of myself and I know they have my back no matter what.”

Eischen keeps her faith a priority. The motivation to be the best athlete she can be is a fundamental one.

“The Lord motivates me the most,” she said. “Everything I have is because of God and I work to take advantage of every opportunity He gives me on and off the court.”

Eischen also admires her parents, who surely instilled good character in her.

“I look up to my parents the most,” she said. “They are always there for me and give 110 percent in everything they do. They help me every day to be a better person. They work so hard to achieve their goals and I want to work just as hard as they do.”

In addition to playing basketball, Eischen is part of Coweta’s Leadership (student council) and holds the senior vice president position. After high school she plans to attend Bethel College to continue her athletic and academic career. She will get to keep playing the sport she loves while she studies psychology with aspirations of becoming a sports psychologist or a speech and language pathologist.
