3 Questions with Coweta’s Bailey Cooper
VYPE: What does it mean to you when you’re called the unsung hero of the team?
Cooper: Being the unsung hero means to me that I do a lot of the little things that go unnoticed. I’m the only senior on the team this year, which means the younger girls are going to look up to me. Most of the time something very little is huge in softball. I play every game like it’s my last, and I strive to be the best leader for my team. We only have a handful of games left, and I don’t know if I’ll ever step foot on a softball field again after my season ends. I wouldn’t want to go through my senior year with any other group of girls.
VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Coweta High School?
Cooper: The one thing I love most about being a student-athlete is the bond I make with my teammates.
VYPE: If you were stranded on an island, who are three people you would want there with you?
Cooper: My sister, my mom and my dad. They are my family, and I wouldn’t know what to do without them.
