Head Coach: Tim Harper
2020 Record: 10-2
The Tigers were a force to be reckoned with in 2020 and look to add to that success. After a 10-2 overall record and a deep playoff push, the Tigers bring back nine of their offensive starters. Standout quarterback Gage Hamm (6-2, 195, Sr.) is going into his third season as the starting quarterback for Coweta. In his junior season, Hamm threw for more than 2,500 yards, 24 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. Look for Hamm to have a historic season for the Tigers. Alongside Hamm is Mason Ford (5-10, 175, Jr.) who lines up at the running back and wide receiver positions. In his first two seasons with the Tigers, he’s contributed over 4,000 total yards along with 35 touchdowns. Na’Kylan Starks (5-10, 175, Jr.) plays tailback and occasionally quarterback for Coweta. Look for Starks to come in for Hamm as a dual threat QB, being very explosive when the ball is in his hands. Maverick McCollough (6-2, 275, Sr.) looks to play on the line, and head coach Tim Harper believes his strength and athleticism could lead him to play at the next level. William Mason (6-0, 210, Jr.) will play tailback for the Tigers after contributing 500 rushing yards and six touchdowns, even though he was battling injuries throughout the season. At the wide receiver position, Cam Dooley (6-1, 180, Jr.) looks to contribute to the Tiger offense. During his sophomore season, Dooley recorded 10 catches and two touchdowns. Look for Dooley to be a bigger target this upcoming season.
